Lily Allen

Lily Allen is an excellent English singer-songwriter.

In 1988 she first appeared in a television show "The Comic Strip Presents..." at the age of 3.

Allen took music classes from her teacher and started playing piano, violin, guitar and trumpet from the age of eleven.

Lily Allen found her first employment in a local record store called Plastic Fantastic where she met George Lamb, an influential A&R man and the former manager of Audio Bullys.

George Lamb introduced Lily Allen to Future Cut, drum and bass producers Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola in 2004, who soon helped her with some catchy backing tracks.

She wrote her first single 'Smile' with Future Cut which was available on the United States version of Apple Inc.'s iTunes Store.

Later Lily signed a deal with Regal Records, a division of Parlophone/EMI in 2005 but hadn't released any album.

In 2005 Allen created a MySpace account and posted demo version of songs which attracted thousands of listeners.

She released a single 'LDN' and two mixtapes My First Mixtape and My Second Mixtape to promote her work which include tracks by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dizzee Rascal, and Ludacris.

Lily gained thousands of friends through MySpace.

The Observer Music Monthly [OMM] recognized Allen's success through MySpace and published an article about Allen in March 2006.

Allen released her debut album "Alright, Still" as a limited-edition 12" vinyl in the UK on July 3rd, 2006.

Entertainment Weekly named "Alright, Still" as one of the top 10 albums of 2006.

The full CD of her album "Alright, Still" was released in UK and the rest of Europe on July 17th 2006.
